It began at 9pm and you had 1.5 hours to get your lo done, photographed and uploaded. I was able to finish just under the wire! I really enjoyed the process though and am completely satisfied with the layout that I was able to complete.

A picture of Madi was my inspiration and "you are" came into my head. I turned that into the complete titling of "just the way you are" and my journaling on the lo describes how I never imagined that I would be parenting one of *those* children. You know the ones who are loud and wide open and no matter what you really think the parents aren't doing anything to control it. YEP, I have one. After watching her grow (in size and personality) I realize that I don't WANT her to be quiet and reserved, she just WOULDN'T be me Madi if she was. I love her outgoing personality, the way she adapts to change, the hugs/kisses and love she has. She goes with the flow and goes at it full force. I can't wait to see where she leads me!AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-30309499302575764242011-04-29T23:19:00.003-04:002011-04-29T23:24:58.810-04:00Remember when....<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 232px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x-XPBEh8Vxs/Tbt_-hm4unI/AAAAAAAAANI/GYGsZx1UYl0/s320/005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5601211273715432050" />

When I saw the challenge at Scrapfit to scrap a picture from your childhood I remembered this picture I came across when I was cleaning the laundry room earlier this month and knew I had to scrap it. The whole day, just trying in general. I had to run out and do a bit of shopping and took 3 of the kids with me. I went to WalMart which invloved a checkout time of more than 20 minutes. Yep more than 20 minutes with a 2 year old (I'm sure you can only imagine)... I was just frustrated by the end of the day and sat down to edit some photos to unwind a bit. Then I see this photo and realize how silly all those frustrations were. Really? My sweet son is winking at me. How lucky I am to be their mom.AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-41574429355636426302010-12-16T22:28:00.002-05:002010-12-16T22:37:32.101-05:00The Gift for Noel Mignon challenge<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 251px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/TQra7h7YuHI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/ZkQzzrJktho/s320/005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5551490206942148722" />
When I saw THIS challenge on the Noel Mignon blog I knew I wanted to complete it. I started thinking about the best gift I have ever received. I couldn't believe how many things came to mind almost immediately. You think that if it is "THE BEST" you would be able to select it quickly right? WRONG! HA, my first thought was my husband and children. I am blessed to have a man who loves me and be a mother of 4. My next thought was Cadbury Easter eggs for Valentine's Day. A tradition my DH started the first year we were married. After thinking and thinking I realized the best gift I have EVER received is a white box. A WHITE BOX?? (I'm not crazy I assure you). It was the lesson learned with that box that is the greatest gift. The lesson not to "judge a book by it's cover" and "things aren't always what they seem". I received a white box for Christmas as a young child. Not a barbie box, not playdoh, nothing on the outside of the box that I recognized and I was HEARTBROKEN (not because I was an ungrateful child or spoiled, I just didn't "get it" yet). After some heavy convincing from my parents I finally opened that plain white box and found a teddy bear that became one of my most beloved toys. I had that bear up through high school until it got destroyed in a move. I learned that the things you think aren't worth anything are the most valuable treasures you will ever find.AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-47581759178160912822010-11-18T22:26:00.004-05:002010-11-18T22:30:51.433-05:00Placecards and a WINNER :)I decided to go ahead and make some placecards for the American Crafts blog challenge this week. I have always collected fairies and when I found these I was in love. Instantly. So not only do the have amazing new fairies every month, but this month Katie is releasing a duck. A DUCK. In my house ducks are awesome, Madi loves them and Duck was one of the first words she said clearly. She also hollers DUCK DUCK anytime she sees one. It is the cutest.thing.ever. So this new release Bubbles the Duck will surely be making its way to me next week as soon as I can buy it on the site. Be sure to check out PMS and I'm sure you'll be hooked too! (they also have the most awesome sentiments/quotes/wordart for those who aren't into fairies)AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-48774933082801487652010-08-20T12:07:00.003-04:002010-08-20T12:14:53.724-04:00The Scrapbox is at it again!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 187px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/TG6p-GgtxNI/AAAAAAAAAKU/SpLz6CMJees/s320/workboxmaple.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507526278685508818" />

"The Original Scrapbox" is having another amazing giveaway! I got three more layouts completed this weekend. This one holds a special place in my heart because this is when my Grandfather got to meet my youngest daughter. This is such a wonderful thing because my dear dear Grandfather has Dementia and has the beginnings of Alzheimers. Somedays he doesn't even know who I am and living 12 hours away doesn't help things at all. (he believes regularly that my oldest DD is me because she looks so much like I did at her age) These pics are from Easter 2009.AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-91248798779283881142010-04-24T20:49:00.004-04:002010-04-24T21:01:46.375-04:00Something Old into Something New<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9OSBvBwp1I/AAAAAAAAAI8/mBrfBm_NK9s/s320/001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463871331431917394" />

Gabby (my oldest DD shown in yesterdays post ;) brought me a clipboard from her room and said "Mom can you *fix* this for me into something pretty?" I was touched that she enjoys my work so much that she wanted me to *fix* it for her. I started looking for the perfect items to use on it and make it personal for her. I wanted to paint the background because it had been drawn on, had REALLY old scotch tape, etc. I looked through my scrap arsenal and was discouraged because I didn't think I had any green paint, when a lightbulb when off and I realized (TOTAL DUH MOMENT) that I had acrylic paint daubers from Ranger and that Lettuce would be the perfect color.

I tried to "dab" it on and that was a no-go so I poured some onto my non stick craft mat and started to paint (I really enjoy the Claudine Hellmuth paintbrushes), then had another "AHA" moment and remembered to take a before picture. There is a bit of paint on it but thats ok. You can still see the drawings though LOL.

After covering with paint I cover with some paper from My Little Shoebox. I punched around the edges with my Martha Stewart punches as well. The letter stickers are from My Little Shoebox as well.

At the top of the clipboard I attached a rose made out of grungepaper then covered in Bubblegum Glimmermist. It is so shimmery! Tie a black bow on and it is ready to go!

Gabby was extremely happy with the results!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9OSBaSs_jI/AAAAAAAAAI0/FpdwJw3e9U4/s320/009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463871325865836082" />AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-16907070627211643922010-04-23T21:55:00.002-04:002010-04-23T22:02:46.006-04:00My Scraproom<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9JQII-3VII/AAAAAAAAAIs/tuvA8ZOcxe0/s320/006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463517398734165122" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9JQHz6u-MI/AAAAAAAAAIk/L9lXZnAT8wk/s320/005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463517393079695554" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9JQHhFdgHI/AAAAAAAAAIc/IDGf-1TM2bc/s320/004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463517388024414322" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9JQHAm4XgI/AAAAAAAAAIU/_u61xeuU1dk/s320/003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463517379306216962" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S9JQGzX6W1I/AAAAAAAAAIM/_dxJApAf3Jg/s320/002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463517375753771858" />

Even after griping that my dear husband was insistant on me cleaning up my space, I am so glad I did!! (I will NOT be showing the before pictures) I wanted to get some shots of it before it ended up a mess again. I really enjoy having the two tables to work on. One for my "messy" stuff such as sprays and paints, and one for the not so messy stuff such as cutting paper (I have super large self healing Making Memories cutting mat on that table) My messy table also hosts a Ranger non-stick crafting mat which is one of the bestest crafting items EVER.

Whichever table I am sitting at I have plenty of supplies within reach and enjoy turning on my stereo and enjoying the blissful peace. It also has a door to the outside which I love when the weather is nice because I can leave the door open and slide open the screen for some fresh air and natural light.AScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-50297222079158243012010-03-28T12:38:00.001-04:002010-03-28T12:41:49.842-04:00Special on Ippity Stamp setsBuy two get one free *of equal or lessor value* with FREE SHIPPING!

Sale in effect until April 3.

You can view the available stamp sets
HERE

To take advantage of this special email me at ascrappersdelight@verizon.net

<3
JessicaAScrappersDelighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03699075322227124830noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4054992940654818226.post-22861391487210397362010-03-23T15:46:00.003-04:002010-03-23T15:49:36.610-04:00American Crafts Green Challenge<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_d0RPO1CXFsg/S6kaxRhjGII/AAAAAAAAAIE/ecjZLgd1-6o/s320/015.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451918257728723074" />

When I saw the challenge on the AC blog I knew the new "I DO" collection would work perfect for me!
